I don’t know about you, but I am ready to welcome back our Padres at
Petco Park!
Petco Park is walking distance from The Bristol Hotel and located at
100 Park Blvd. The park itself is a sight to see! Built in 2004, it is home to
the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball. In addition to baseball, the
park is also used as a venue for concerts, and other various sporting events.
Petco Park also hosted the MLB All Star Game in 2016.
During this time, the San Diego Padres are committed to supporting
staff and minor league players for the foreseeable future. Right now, they are
currently the only team in the MLB that is committed to paying their minor
league players through August while also promising no furloughs or layoffs from
now through the end of October for their baseball staff, per Kyle Glaser of
Baseball America. As a part of the Downtown San Diego community, this makes me
even more proud to root for the Padres.
I can’t wait to sing take me out to the ballpark and eat some of the
amazing food that Petco Park has to offer. A few of my local favorites in the
park are:
·
Buona Forchetta
·
Lucha Libre
·
Seaside Market
·
Baked Bear
·
Randy Jones BBQ
